We Are Porsche

PCA SDR is hosting a convoy from San Diego to the Peterson Automotive Museum. We are excited to announce a special VIP tour of the We Are Porsche exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum on Sunday, August 13, 2023. The event will include a special 1 hour VIP tour where we will be guided through the exhibit with our own tour guide and also taken down to the Vault to view some special Porsches held there. After the tour is complete, you will have access to the rest of the Museum to view at your convenience. Unfortunately, the Vault is not included once the tour is complete unless you choose to pay for it.

If you have never visited the Petersen Automotive Museum, you owe it to yourself to experience this one-of-a-kind automotive museum! Even if you have visited in the past, this is a specially created VIP tour of the We Are Porsche exhibit that runs for a limited time.

Sunday, August 13th

If you are a PCA member and will be driving a Porsche, you’re eligible to register for this convoy and tour. When registering, please be sure to register each person attending as the price is $60 per person. Parking is $17 per car. (Price shown below the title assumes both charges are elected, for $77.)  You must sign the waiver upon check-in to the event at Starbucks to receive your wrist band in order to drive with the PCA SDR convoy group. Please arrive at starting point fully gassed or fully charged.

The convoy will start from Starbucks at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets located at 5620 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad. From there, we will drive 5 North for about 96 miles. We will then take the 10 West for about 9 miles. We will exit 7B For Washington Blvd, and turn right on S Fairfax Ave. Continue on S Fairfax Ave. for about 2 miles and Peterson Automotive Museum with be on your right hand side.

Please do not rev your engine, speed through the area, do any burn outs, play loud music, drive reckless, Tokyo drift, race, etc. You’ll be representing PCA SDR and we don’t want something to happen where we can’t host these events anymore.

Event schedule

 7:15-7:45 … Meet/greet – check in and sign the PCA paper waiver (Speedwaiver NOT required)

 7:45-8:00 … Mandatory drivers meeting (If you miss the drivers meeting you will not be permitted to participate on the tour, so PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE!!)

 8:00 … Tour departs promptly with or without you

10:00 … Arrival, park and check in

The Petersen Museum tour is expected to last for about an hour. Once we are done with the VIP tour, you may continue to stay at the museum to view the other exhibits but please know that the Vault is not part of your entrance fee. You may depart for home whenever you wish as you are on your own for the return drive.
