PCA SDR – Spring TSD Rally
A Beginner Time Speed Distance Rally

PCA SDR is having a beginner friendly, Time Speed Distance Rally (No traps), on April 22nd. This is a great way to warm up for the Porsche Parade TSD Rally in June at in Palm Springs.
Rally Master’s Tom & Bev Gould will take you on some great roads in North San Diego County. Bev and Tom are also the PCA National Parade Rally Chairs, so this is a great opportunity to see how they think and put on a Rally. The Rally will not have directional traps and will be like a tour but with instructions.
The idea of the Rally is to follow the Rally Master’s Instructions and the goal for participants is keeping the same time as the Rally Master with little to no error. This is not a race, following instructions and maintaining average speeds is key.
Competitors will use a tool (App) that has become the future of Rallying, for both competitors and Rally Masters. As a competitor it is easy to use, basically set it and go. No more score cards, manned checkpoints or pieces of paper flying around the car! We are setting this up like a for what you can expect for the PCA Parade Rally. It is like a tour in Rally format, the goal is to get participants used to using the Richta Rally App, comfortable to run the Parade TSD Rally, and have more rallies in the future.

Cost – $20 per car – payment through Motorsportreg (must have 2 people per car, one driver & one navigator).
Start: North San Diego County (start details will be emailed to participants a week before the event)
Time: Arrive 9:00 am, first car out 9:30 am
Format – Time Speed Distance – (No Traps) using the Richta Competitor Rally App -> you must use this free App to run the Rally
Duration – About 2-3 hours
To Participate in the SDR TSD Rally, you will need the appropriate cellphone or tablet with the Richta Competitor Rally App loaded.
The Richta App can be found in both the Apple Store and Google Play. The App is Free!!!! Download the Richta Competitor App to the cell phone or tablet you will be using on the Rally. You must have this app downloaded before the day of the Rally.
