The Appalachian Region will lead drives through the spectacular and challenging roads of the Blue Ridge Mountains on Thursday and Saturday. As always, members are free to explore these roads on their own and Porsche of Asheville has procured maps that show all the famous — and infamous — winding roads of Western Carolina. Also, scheduled for Friday is a pilgrimage to the renowned “Tail of the Dragon” — a very limited number of slots are available for this daylong drive.
The Omni Grove Park Inn serves as the headquarters hotel for Treffen Asheville and offers a very special rate of $229 per night plus taxes. Just use the code provided in the registration confirmation email from PCA to reserve your room at this special rate. The resort has one of the top spas in the country – sure to attract some of our members on Friday’s Navigators’ Day Off (NDO). Click here for descriptions of other NDO activities (link is external), including the opportunity for a craft-beer tour (Asheville is the top US city for microbreweries), a chocolate factory and art tour, hiking, rafting, and other activities.
Treffen Asheville offers for the first time a special dining opportunity on Thursday evening. Several of the trendiest downtown Asheville restaurants have been reserved for dinner – coach transportation will be provided to/from the restaurants. The list of restaurants, descriptions of their cuisine, and offerings are listed under the Activities page on the website (link is external) – just select your preferred restaurant when you register. We’ve taken care of everything else.
