Porsche Parade, PCA’s annual weeklong event, takes place in a different location each year. For 2020, we’re heading to the Sonoran Desert of southern California known for its hot springs, stylish hotels, golf courses and spas. It’s also noted for its many fine examples of midcentury-modern architecture. In addition to traditional Parade activities such as concours, autocross, time-speed-distance and gimmick rallies, the surrounding Coachella Valley offers hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.
The annual Porsche Parade is our club’s national convention, a week long gathering of people and Porsches from all over the country. Events include Concours, Rally, Autocross, Technical Sessions, Tours and much more. You’ll see more Porsches than you can shake a stick at!
Club members from all across North America come together once a year to participate in a week of competitive events, socialize with friends and learn about and enjoy their cars. The Porsche Parade is a potpourri of social, competitive and non-competitive events, with seminars, boutique shopping, and tours adding to the variety of activities.
There are many non-competitive events for members wishing to socialize with like-minded enthusiasts including tours of local roads and destinations (e.g. Palm Springs Air Museum – featuring many historic displays of famous aircraft throughout the years – including a B17 Flying Fortress), banquets, ice cream socials and more. Plus there are many events specifically for kids including model car concours, radio controlled car racing plus judging full size concours cars to determine the “PCA Kids Favorite”. For many club members, Parade is the highlight of the club year.
