Have you ever wondered what the inside of an air-cooled Porsche 911 engine looks like and how it’s put together? If so, watch the guys from Speed Academy as they take apart the engine from their Porsche 930 in preparation for a full rebuild.
As the first 911 Turbo, the 930 earned the nickname Widowmaker. It had tons of power, rear-engine handling quirks, and enough turbo lag to catch even experienced drivers off guard. It wasn’t a car to approach casually.
We appreciate these guys sharing the video of their tear-down so we could take a look at the guts of this legendary engine. It may be slow to watch, but it’s also thorough. If you’re a Porsche fan with 25 minutes to spare, be sure to check this one out.
