PCA San Diego is inviting you to join us for Cars and Conversations every last Sunday of every month from 8am – 10am.
For the month of January, please join us at Mission Bay in the parking lot by the De Anza Cove Park.
Please note:
ALL Porsche Models are welcome but Porsches with a Whale tail are the highlight for the month of December.
Although we tried to select locations with restroom facilities, please keep in mind that the public restrooms may be closed during the event and we have no control over the facilities.
With the change in format, we have secured a mobile coffee truck called Beetlebean Street Cafe (IG:Beetlebean68.) We ask that you help support this local business on the day of the event so that they may continue to be our mobile coffee truck option for our rotating monthly Cars and Conversations events.
Meet at: Mission Bay parking lot by the De Anza Cove Park at 8am, at 3000 N Mission Bay Dr., San Diego
Highlight for the month: Whale tail Models
With winter being the time of another animal traveling south for warmer waters, we’re tying our January highlight in honor of this majestic animal. If you have a Porsche with a Whale tail, whether it’s the 1974 911 Carrera RS 3.0 or the 1976 Turbo Carrera, please bring it out to showcase. I’m not being picky about the Whale Tail so the “tea tray” or the tail on the RS America counts too just so long as it basically looks like the giant “whale tail” on the air cooled Turbos.
Bonus for the month: Mini Driving Tour
Michael Zurich, who will be leading Driving Tours for 2024, is trying something new starting January 2024 where he will take a small group of 20 cars on a shorter driving tour leaving from Cars and Conversations. This Mini Driving Tour is not replacing the normal quarterly Driving Tours but is in addition and currently Michael has the Mini Driving Tour planned to occur on a monthly basis. If you’re interested in joining this Mini Driving Tour, please see the ad in the calendar and in the Monday emailer. Sign up when registration opens, as space is very limited. Registration will open on December 28, so keep an eye out for the ad containing a link to register.
Please know that when you’re attending these events, you’re representing Porsche Club of America San Diego Region and the greater Porsche community. The locations that we select are all in our own neighborhoods with many folks walking around whether it be with kids, dogs, grand parents, friends, tourists, etc. With that being said, please enter/exit the event and community in a clam, safe, respectful, quiet, and responsible manner. That means no revving your engine. No loud music. No speeding. No Tokyo Drifting. Hopefully, you get the message.
We do not want to receive complaints and then jeopardize these events as they have been very well received. Please do not be the one to ruin it for the rest of us as that is how we basically ended up at Jessie’s Bake Shop.
Lastly, since there is only one of me, if you witness someone doing anything that jeopardizes the event, please call them out on the spot and bring it to my attention. We’re all in this together and sometimes, it takes a village.
