March 2020 Message from PCA-San Diego Region President
What’s happening in PCA San Diego Region?
The current buzz is still about National Porsche Parade (June 21–27) that will be in La Quinta right next to Palm Springs. It’s not too late to sign up for registration, go to www.porscheparade.org
If you’ve never been to a PCA Parade – as it’s in Southern California this year, now is your chance to give it a try. Consider it a weeklong party with Porsches.
To find out more, SDR has a website article summarizing what a Parade is all about with a link to more details including what to expect and how to sign up, click HERE
Your Board of Directors is mulling over an idea – at this stage it is just the germ an idea for a fall event. Imagine having a HUGE informal Porsche Corral on the grass at a local Golf course – no competition – no judging, just a chance to gather as many Porsches together in one place as possible – all models – all years – any colors – any condition all together for a spectacular Porsche “Field of Dreams”. Attendees could park their Porsche on the grass in the corral and be entertained by a band plus relax and enjoy a leisurely brunch – now that would definitely be a camera-worthy event! If you think this is something that you think you might be interested in click HERE and then hit “Send” to e-mail an “I might be interested in attending a Porsche Field of Dreams event” message.
What Recently happened in SDR?
NEWSFLASH! A new article has just been posted on our website for those of you who didn’t make the January 11th, SDR Porsche Prom at the US Grant Hotel. To see what went on and how much fun we had click HERE. To quote the article “if you think you’d like to have some fun going to an end of year celebration, at an exclusive location, hanging out with a bunch of people who really enjoy partying, then get dressed up, get your dancing shoes on and come and join us”
Did you miss seeing Porsche’s two-and-a-half-minute video ad named video “the Heist” at this year’s Superbowl halftime? Even if you saw it on TV click HERE to watch it in full – it’s pretty spectacular.
